I had doctored with chiropractors over the last 50 years to maintain my back and health. A few years ago, I was suffering so badly from low back and leg pain and had seen a spine specialist. He told me that I had severe arthritis in my back with severe stenosis at the L3 – L4 level in my low back. I was also having sciatic pain down my left leg. The option given to me was surgery to correct this. I scheduled surgery but was concerned. The doctor had told me the success rate of the surgery in correcting my pain was only 50%. I didn’t like those odds. I spoke with my family doctor. He agreed that the odds were not pleasant, and suggested trying the DRX 9000.
I was willing to try anything, as opposed to surgery. A friend of mine had spinal decompression and said it had worked for him. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Phillips, and he showed me on my MRI where my nerve was compressed and why I felt the pain. He also explained how the DRX 9000 could help me. I wasn’t too sure it would work, but I was desperate to try anything. After a few treatments, I realized an improvement in my pain. I canceled my scheduled surgery and continued with spinal decompression and adjustments from Dr. Phillips. The technique that Dr. Phillips used is different than other adjustments I have had with other chiropractors, but it seemed to work for my back and hips. I steadily got better and now only go if I am feeling more pain.
Without these treatments, I would be getting old too fast. I feel younger than I am, simply due to the fact that I can still do a lot on my farm. I am still able to work on my equipment and tractors. I can still work with my cattle.
Phillips Chiropractic and Physical Therapy Center have excellent staff. I am always taken care of quickly and politely. They all seem to understand when I am in pain and go out of their way to make it more pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend Phillips Chiropractic and Physical Therapy Center to anyone that is in pain.

Like many others in my community, I work in the field of agriculture, primarily farming. Many of my duties on the farm require a lot of physical labor. I also like playing basketball, hunting, and snow skiing to keep active.
About 5 years ago, I started to have back pain. This pain would get worse, then get better. I was forced to stop playing basketball, as I thought that was what was irritating my back. The back pain kept getting more severe, then eventually started causing pain down the back of my legs. At this point, I couldn’t even put on my shoes. This was ridiculous! I certainly felt like this was not normal. I suddenly felt like an old man, and all the things I needed to do and wanted to do was becoming impossible. It was at that time I decided to get a consultation from Dr. Phillips at Phillips Chiropractic and Physical Therapy.
Dr. Phillips sat down with me and went over my MRI and showed me exactly where the pain was stemming from and further explained why the pain was going down my legs. He explained that I needed to have some physical therapy to increase my flexibility and strengthen my core muscles and also have spinal decompression treatments on the DRX 9000. I was a little skeptical at first. Amazingly, I did feel some decrease in pain after the first treatment. After 6 treatments, I actually had long periods of minimal pain. At 12 treatments, I was pain-free. I literally could not believe the pain I had been in for the past 5 years had disappeared in a mere 4 weeks.
I was dedicated to the physical therapy exercises and, when the therapist told me I could, I put my back to the test. I started doing the activities I normally did on the farm. I even went so far as to start pulling fence posts! I look back now and really can’t believe how much I have given up due to my constant back pain. I am now ready to get back to my regular occupational duties, but more importantly, I can start doing the other things I love to do, including playing basketball.
I would recommend Phillips Chiropractic and Physical Therapy Center to anyone who is suffering from back pain. I was ready.
